Position Summary:

The mission of the Accounting Manager of Financial Reporting and Audit is to maintain accounting records and generate timely and accurate financial statements for all entities while also ensuring all auditing functions are completed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as company and accounting department authority on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). Knowledgeable in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  2. Manager of the four financial reporting staff and one intern which includes, but is not limited to: tasks such as a weekly team planning meeting; coaching the team members through projects, tasks, difficult situations and prioritizing; having frequent informal evaluation meetings as well as a formal written evaluation at year end; reviewing and signing vacation requests and journal entries; and overseeing all monthly close processes.
  3. Oversee the auditing and accounting of financial data.  Lead to organize, supervise, coordinate with relation to the annual audit processes, domestic and international (international includes tax returns); also including UK Expat and International individual tax return matters.
  4. Development, documentation and review of controls needed for data accumulation and reporting documentation.  Ensures that all documentation complies with company's regulations and professional standards.
  5. Oversee and review commission and referral calculations and payments for various employees in many departments and help oversee external referral/alliance program.
  6. Perform monthly close process with entries including maintenance expense and pro-rata pre-bill accruals, commission and referral amortizations, debt entries, and all international closing entries.
  7. Perform, prepare, supervise, and discuss various high level and detailed ad hoc requests and special projects as needed.  Examples include, but are not limited to, VAT refunds, flight hour methodology discussions, accounts receivable bad debt reserve study and analysis, UK transfer pricing study, enrollments versus commissions analysis, restructuring vendor reconciliations and communications, updating check remittances, VAT exclusion letter for tech use, improving the flight hour accrual procedures by working with client services and IT, possible additional foreign subsidiaries, possible governmental business, and JSSI Parts controls and policy project.
  8. Updates job knowledge and maintains CPA license by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional and industry publications, maintaining personal networks, and participation in professional organizations.
  9. Ensure accounting transactions are properly recorded on a timely basis.
  10. Responsible for managing the preparation of financial statements for external use.
  11. Other duties as assigned by management.

Desired Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 8+ years’ experience
  • CPA active license preferred, which includes 120 hours CPE each 3 years

Position Summary:

The mission of the Aircraft Maintenance Pricing Analyst is to assist the Pricing Manager in the administration of the JSSI airframe/engine programs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collect cost data from functional representatives, contractors and vendors
  2. Compute cost estimates of material procurement, repair, replenishment and transportation
  3. Prepare and maintain historical cost data
  4. Create cost models for cost estimating elements

  15. Communicate changes to inspection requirements to the Technical Services field reps
  16. Research Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directives as required

Desired Credentials:

Airframe Technical Advisor Irvine, CA

Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) is seeking a well-qualified Airframe Technical Advisor to be based in the Irvine, CA area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

NOTE:  GENERAL AVIATION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.  THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN IRVINE, CA. 

The Airframe Technical Advisor is the primary contact for the client and will handle their needs on routine, minor unscheduled and AOG events. Manage customer events utilizing the Project Line Specialist (PLS) to assist them in supporting events for which they need assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Heavily involved in helping to plan for major scheduled inspections, in addition to assisting with the immediate logistics as they pertain to unscheduled events
  2. On-site representation, especially with respect to major scheduled inspections
  3. Create Service Calls that aid in the tracking of technical data and financial forecasting
  4. Develops and maintains client relationships through periodic contact.
  5. Grow and maintain relationships with regional service facilities, mobile repair teams, etc.
  6. Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contracts.
  7. Review and process invoices in AMS, meeting turn time goals set forth by Technical Services Management and policy.
  8. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately
  9. Must have a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures
  10. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Airframe and Powerplant ratings REQUIRED
  • 10 years’ experience with corporate turbine-powered business aircraft (not commercial) preferred.
  • Expertise working on Embraer Phenom airframes.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and write articulately and analytically
  • Clear understanding of relevant technical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Well organized
  • Have or be able to obtain passport and perform international travel

Position Summary and Mission:

The mission of the Contracts Specialist is to draft, negotiate, finalize and arrange execution of agreements with JSSI clients with exceptional skill and assist in overall management of client contracts and the process.  This position requires excellent communication, both written and oral, strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and outstanding people skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate contracting process:
    1. To obtain necessary information to prepare contracts for clients;
    2. To prepare contracts and ensure that the enrollment process is completed efficiently and accurately;
    3. To prepare contract amendments and related documents; and
    4. To coordinate the process of transferring existing contracts, ensuring that there are no outstanding issues with the previous contract and that necessary paperwork has been completed.
  2. Be skilled and knowledgeable with respect to program coverage, contract forms and IT systems.
  3. Ensure that all relevant interactions with clients are tracked in Salesforce.com.
  4. Run reports from Salesforce.com and analyze the data using Microsoft Excel. 
  5. Work closely with the Contracts Manager to update and improve form contracts, consistently striving for increased clarity of terms that support the achievement of company goals.
  6. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Position Summary:

JSSI is experiencing unprecedented growth and has created a vital new role within our organization to support new fleet opportunities.  Reporting to the Vice President Pricing & Program Development, this role will support a key strategic growth initiative in the commercial and regional airline markets on a global basis.

The Fleet Pricing Financial Analyst will develop pricing and financial modeling of various unique fleet programs for JSSI, in collaboration with Pricing, Sales, and the SVP Business Development and Strategic Planning.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the VP, Pricing and Program Development, Senior Product Manager, and the Director of Fleet Administration on new fleet opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships within MRO facilities and the JSSI Technical Services team to develop pricing for various engine events, components, and items specific to each fleet opportunity.
  • Develop profitable and competitive pricing models tailored to unique fleet types and sizes using MS Excel spreadsheets
  • Research new product and parts costs, and develop rates around each type
  • Create cost models for cost estimating new fleets with minimum data available
  • Prepare cost analysis and future profitability models
  • Assist the Senior Product Manager with developing outline of fleet specific items to aid in development of contract language.
  • Develop and maintain fleet data base and master fleet pricing lists
  • Research cost comparisons between OEM, and preferred vendors for engines and components, as well as applicable Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Bulletins.
  • Meet with the SVP of Business Development & Strategic Planning, and the Directors of Business Development to present fleet pricing models.
  • Work with Marketing and the Director of Fleet Administration to develop fleet proposals for specific clients

Desired Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Aviation or Financial Discipline) required, MBA in similar disciplines preferred.
  • 2-3 years aviation technical experience
  • 2-3 years of financial analysis experience
  • Ability to ensure a factual audit trail is established for all pricing efforts supporting contract proposals

Position Summary:

The Helicopter Buyer will provide great customer service to and will collaborate with the JSSI Helicopter Technical Advisors and JSSI Parts Product Line Specialists to manage the overall sourcing strategy; this includes parts procurement for all helicopter maintenance requirements, restocking orders and forecasted future needs, vendor negotiations and interface, contract administration, repair order and warranty administration, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. The Helicopter Buyer will also play a key role on supply chain integration and/or continuous improvement teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to all requests received from Helicopter Technical Advisors (TA) & Product Line Specialists (PLS) in a professional and timely manner.
  2. Source parts to fill demands from purchase requisitions, AOG orders, Requests For Information (RFI), etc.
  3. Create competitive Requests For Quote (RFQ) and/or negotiate prices with suppliers to obtain best available prices while maintaining configuration, quality and delivery requirements.
  4. Create purchase orders and repair orders for all Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  5. Create and track purchase orders and expedite them through SalesForce/AMS/Quantum to maintain a closed loop status interface with TA and PLS with regard to parts requirements.
  6. Maintain regular communication with and provide pro-active status updates to TA and PLS.
  7. Follow parts through the system to make sure parts costs are transacted to the correct project and that all costs associated are billed accordingly to the clients.
  8. Assure parts are delivered in a timely manner to meet schedule requirements and meet the appropriate quality and life limits.
  9. Participate in an AOG on-call or shift rotation to support afterhours critical sales.
  10. Search for and maintain knowledge of parts availability within the aviation industry through existing and future vendor selections.
  11. Establish supplier performance metrics, monitor performance and evaluate suppliers on a regularly scheduled basis.
  12. Establish, maintain and report metrics on cost savings.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare Monthly Activity Report identifying cost saving, buyer activity, vendor activity, etc.
  2. Continually assess operations to optimize the purchasing and logistics processes through identifying cost reduction opportunities for Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  3. Qualify and approve vendors as determined by need to increase competition, improve quality of the product, or to improve lead times using selected quality criteria.
  4. Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  1. Helicopter purchasing experience required
  2. B.S. degree or combination of HS diploma or GED and 5 years’ experience in aviation related procurement and inventory control duties

Position Summary:

The Helicopter Technical Advisor is the primary contact for JSSI Clients and will handle their needs on routine, unscheduled and AOG events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review, audit and oversee all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events and parts requirements.
  2. Manage customer events and utilize the Project Line Specialist (PLS) for events in which they need assistance.
  3. Possess knowledge of the complete JSSI Helicopter Program and be capable of discussing complex support questions.
  4. Liaise with JSSI Parts to support requirements as required.
  5. Effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with the customers, service centers and OEM’s to resolve any complaints or contractual misunderstandings.
  6. Obtain and review all work estimates as needed, submitted by the service centers for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  7. Review and process all invoices prior to being submitted to JSSI’s Chicago Headquarters for payment.
  8. Work closely with the customer to stay abreast of all scheduled work coming due and to schedule the maintenance and parts requirements.
  9. Routinely work with the customer to ensure smooth administration of JSSI programs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.
  10. Respond to technical matters and problems concerning JSSI clients and arrange timely and accurate diagnosis.
  11. Assist management’s accounting and administrative efforts in resolving payment disputes or collections problems with program customers by making individual contact with delinquent operators.
  12. Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contracts.
  13. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately.
  14. Must have a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures.
  15. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

Education and Experience:

The mission of the Sales Administrator is to provide superior support for the JSSI Global Sales Directors and the Sales Administration Director by being the point of contact between Sales and the various departments in JSSI (Pricing, Client Services, Marketing, Contracts, Technical Services, and IT) which will ultimately help generate profitable sales in a timely, dynamic, professional, and consistent manner.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Be the point of contact between Pricing, Client Services, Marketing, Contracts, Technical Services, and IT for the Directors of Business Development.
  2. Operate with a Sense of Urgency in terms of timely and consistent follow-up on leads and proposals.
  3. Route all incoming phone calls and leads to the appropriate Director of Business Development.  Create the lead in Salesforce.com and follow up with the Sales Representative accordingly.
  4. Complete pre-enrollment paperwork for new deals (Proposals, Maintenance Access Form, Referral form, PIDs, Contract Application)
  5. Ensure that Salesforce.com records (leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities) are accurate and up-to-date.
  6. Update and run sales reports (Advanced Opportunities, Closed Won) and cross check work. 
  7. Run territory reports and prepare current client reports prior to a Sales Rep visit along with supporting the Sales Administration Manager with any sales reports.
  8. Research customer service issues, work with various departments to resolve and communicate resolution with Sales Rep or client as necessary.
  9. Follow up on all PIDS inspections with Technical Services Advisors and provide any missing information that may hold up a new contract, including Exhibit C updates with the C’s Coordinator.
  10. Plan with the Client Services Contract team for new enrollment preparations and provide any information required for the final contract (total time, contact information, Governing Aviation Authority, etc)
  11. Research customer service issues, work with various departments to resolve and communicate resolution with Sales Rep or client as necessary.

Measurement of Success:

  1. The development and successful implementation of making overall JSSI Sales goals which will lead to the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual JSSI earnings objectives.
  2. The overall positive impact of the position inside and outside the company, as it relates to achieving the company’s growth objectives, and enhancing the JSSI sales initiatives and equity around the world.

Requisite Skills/Experience:

Listed below are the key areas of experience, and measurable accomplishments, the Sales Administrator must possess:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. At least two (2) years of work experience is preferred
  3. Superior inter-personal and communications skills internally with JSSI, externally to clients, vendors and other industry leaders

Position Summary:

The mission of the Supply Chain Specialist is to provide great customer service to, and collaborate with, the JSSI Technical Advisors and JSSI Parts Product Line Specialists to manage the overall sourcing strategy. This will include parts procurement for all maintenance requirements, restocking orders and forecasted future needs, vendor negotiations and interface, contract administration, repair order and warranty administration, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. The Supply Chain Specialist will also play a key role on supply chain integration and/or continuous improvement teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Reduce costs, facilitate increased sales, deliver superior customer service and provide a one-stop supply chain solution to support the JSSI Technical Advisors (TA) and JSSI Parts Product Line Specialists (PLS).
  2. Respond to all requests received from Technical Advisors (TA) & Product Line Specialists (PLS) in a professional and timely manner.
  3. Source parts to fill demands from purchase requisitions, AOG orders, Requests for Information (RFI), etc.
  4. Create competitive Requests for Quote (RFQ) and/or negotiate prices with suppliers to obtain best available prices while maintaining configuration, quality and delivery requirements.
  5. Create purchase orders and repair orders for all Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  6. Create and track purchase orders and expedite them through SalesForce/AMS/Quantum to maintain a closed loop status interface with TA and PLS with regard to parts requirements.
  7. Maintain regular communication with and provide pro-active status updates to TA and PLS.
  8. Follow parts through the system to make sure parts costs are transacted to the correct project and that all costs associated are billed accordingly to the clients.
  9. Assure parts are delivered in a timely manner to meet schedule requirements and meet the appropriate quality and life limits.
  10. Participate in an AOG on-call or shift rotation to support afterhours critical sales.
  11. Search for and maintain knowledge of parts availability within the aviation industry through existing and future vendor selections.
  12. Establish supplier performance metrics, monitor performance and evaluate suppliers on a regularly scheduled basis.
  13. Establish, maintain and report metrics on cost savings.
  14. Prepare Monthly Activity Report identifying cost saving, buyer activity, vendor activity, etc.
  15. Continually assess operations to optimize the purchasing and logistics processes through identifying cost reduction opportunities for Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  16. Qualify and approve vendors as determined by need to increase competition, improve quality of the product, or to improve lead times using selected quality criteria.

Position Summary:

The Technical Coordinator is the first contact for Clients and will assist the Fleet Leads in handling the client’s needs on routine, minor unscheduled and AOG events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create Service Calls that will alert the Fleet Leads (FL) of future or current events.
  2. Assist Client, maintenance providers and FL by placing parts orders, as requested, with the JSSI Purchasing department.
  3. Communicate with the client and the maintenance provider, as required.
  4. Support the team by working 10 and/or 12 hour shifts to ensure no gap in client coverage
  5. Research logbooks, as required.
  6. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately by:
    • Being the initial contact for the client and/ or maintenance provider.
    • Initial setup to track and support the maintenance event.
    • Turning the event over to the FL / PLS after initial setup.
  7. Review and process invoices using the company provided invoicing system, meeting turn time goals set forth by Technical Services Management and policy.
  8. Will be trained to have a thorough understanding of the current contracts, policies and procedures
  9. Develops and maintains client relationships through periodic contact.
  10. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Logistics or relevant experience preferred
  • Airframe and Power plant rating, civilian or military equivalent is a plus
  • Corporate turbine-powered business aircraft experience preferred, but any commercial, flight, avionics, dispatch, NDT aviation experience is a plus
  • Experience in 135 Maintenance Control operations is a plus
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
