Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) is seeking a well-qualified Senior Financial Analyst to be based at our Chicago Corporate Headquarters.

 

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis department at JSSI. This group provides management and the operating departments of JSSI with insightful economic evaluations and meaningful information necessary to plan, operate, and control the business. This position focuses on analysis for this data driven, quality service oriented company serving the aviation industry, primarily dealing with business jets. This business combines aspects of insurance and finance with aircraft and engine maintenance and requires in-depth analysis to support complex financial decisions and forecasts.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


 

  • Perform analysis of both strategic and tactical business and operational questions while demonstrating creative analytical curiosity. Analyze data associated with highly complex business and operational opportunities. Consultatively collaborate with operating departments to analytically explore business and operational problems, develop reports, track and understand operational issues.

  • Review and perform financial analysis, as necessary, for all new and renewal contracts, ensuring profit margins for each line of business meet or exceed senior management expectations.

  • Work together with Pricing and New Products teams to analyze and assist in pricing of new opportunities and lines of business.

  • Develop financial assumptions and construct complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting and business case analyses.

  • Manage and further develop seven-year financial planning model.

  • Evaluate acquisitions of aircraft and parts inventories to support business.

  • Prepare periodic variance analyses of forecasted/budgeted maintenance events versus actual maintenance events.

DESIRED CREDENTIALS:

Educational Background & Work Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior experience in a financial analysis role.

Preferred

  • MBA or Masters in Business, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Accounting, Finance Analytics, Operations Research, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field or similar discipline preferred.

  10. Liaise with Contracts Specialists to assist in the coordination of new contract preparation.

Liaise with Contracts Specialists to assist in the coordination of the transfer contract process by ensuring that there are no outstanding issues with the previous contract, informing buyers about coverage, and handing off the transfer paperwork to the Contracts Specialists for contract generation.

  12. Educate new clients about their coverage and contractual obligations and the company’s programs and services.

  13. Attend regional and national industry events to network with clients and represent the company.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Position Summary:

This mission of the Warehouse Manager is to lead all aspects of JSSI Parts’ warehouse, including inventory, delivery, quality and safety. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  3. Track down cores and scrap at JSSI vendor partners and work with partners to retrieve the materials 
  4. Receive and record materials 
  5. Inspect parts for obvious damage, inspect paperwork for errors 
  6. Ensure inventory summary is continually updated based on production jobs 
  7. Verify Open Stock and Materials, keeping accurate documentation for product orders 
  8. Direct monthly product inventory, do verifications and keep spreadsheets up to date

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Helicopter Technical Advisor will help to maintain the JSSI Helicopter Airframe Program.  As the primary contact for JSSI Clients, this position will handle the routine, minor unscheduled and AOG events, utilizing the appropriate Project Line Specialist (PLS). This position will interface with the airframe and engine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), service centers, and the owners/operators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review, audit and oversee all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events being performed at the service center
  2. Possess knowledge of the complete JSSI Helicopter Airframe Program and be capable of discussing complex support questions
  3. Develop and maintain client relationships through periodic contact.
  4. Assist, as needed, in helping resolve customer complaints or contractual misunderstandings between JSSI, the owner/operator, the service center, the OEM and/or aircraft brokerage firms or independent salespersons
  5. Develop a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures
  6. Effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with the customers, service centers and OEM’s to resolve any complaints or contractual misunderstandings
  7. Obtain and review all work estimates as needed, submitted by the service centers for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  8. Review and process all invoices prior to being submitted to the Chicago office Headquarters for payment
  9. Track preliminary scheduled inspections or major unscheduled events and work with the customer to schedule the maintenance into a Service Center
  10. Routinely work with OEM’s, Service Centers and operators currently enrolled in the JSSI programs to ensure smooth administration of the programs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and/or guidelines
  11. Respond to technical matters and problems concerning JSSI clients and arrange timely and accurate diagnosis
  12. Arrange appropriate visits to Service Centers to review work in progress on customer airframes. 
  13. Assist management’s accounting and administrative efforts in resolving payment disputes or collections problems with program customers by making individual contact with delinquent operators
  14. Create Service Calls that will alert the PLS of a future event
  15. Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contracts.
  16. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately by turning it over to the Product Line Specialist
  17. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Field preferred
  • An FAA A&P Mechanics Certificate required
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License and FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engine Technical Advisor is the primary contact for Clients and will handle their needs on routine, minor unscheduled and AOG events. The Engine Technical Advisor manages customer events utilizing the Product Line Specialist (PLS) to assist them in supporting events for which they need assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Set up the preliminary scheduled inspections or major unscheduled events
  2. Develops and maintains client relationships through periodic contact.
  3. Grow and maintain relationships with regional service facilities, mobile repair teams, etc.
  4. Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contracts.
  5. Review and process invoices in AMS, meeting turn time goals set forth by Technical Services Management and policy.
  6. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately by:
    1. Turning it over to the Product Line Specialist
    2. Handling it from start to finish with assistance when necessary.
  7. Must have a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures
  8. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Field preferred
  • An FAA A&P Mechanics Certificate required
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License and FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.

  5. Develop a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures
  6. Effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with the customers, service centers and OEM’s to resolve any complaints or contractual misunderstandings
  7. Obtain and review all work estimates as needed, submitted by the service centers for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  8. Review and process all invoices prior to being submitted to the Chicago office Headquarters for payment
  9. Track preliminary scheduled inspections or major unscheduled events and work with the customer to schedule the maintenance into a Service Center
  10. Routinely work with OEM’s, Service Centers and operators currently enrolled in the JSSI programs to ensure smooth administration of the programs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and/or guidelines
  11. Respond to technical matters and problems concerning JSSI clients and arrange timely and accurate diagnosis
  12. Arrange appropriate visits to Service Centers to review work in progress on customer airframes. 
  13. Assist management’s accounting and administrative efforts in resolving payment disputes or collections problems with program customers by making individual contact with delinquent operators
  14. Create Service Calls that will alert the PLS of a future event
  15. Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contracts.
  16. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately by turning it over to the Product Line Specialist
  17. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

  1. Set up the preliminary scheduled inspections or major unscheduled events
  2. Develops and maintains client relationships through periodic contact.
  3. Grow and maintain relationships with regional service facilities, mobile repair teams, etc.
  4. Research logbooks and/or conduct visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contracts.
  5. Review and process invoices in AMS, meeting turn time goals set forth by Technical Services Management and policy.
  6. Responsible for event triage, assessing and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately by:
    1. Turning it over to the Product Line Specialist
    2. Handling it from start to finish with assistance when necessary.
  7. Must have a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and procedures
  8. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Field preferred
  • An FAA A&P Mechanics Certificate required
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License and FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.

Mission Statement:

 

The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis department at JSSI.  This group provides management and the operating departments of JSSI with insightful economic evaluations and meaningful information necessary to plan, operate, and control the business. This position focuses on analysis for this data driven, quality service oriented company serving the aviation industry, primarily dealing with business jets.    This business combines aspects of insurance and finance with aircraft and engine maintenance and requires in-depth analysis to support complex financial decisions and forecasts.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform analysis of both strategic and tactical business and operational questions while demonstrating creative analytical curiosity. Analyze data associated with highly complex business and operational opportunities. Consultatively collaborate with operating departments to analytically explore business and operational problems, develop reports, track and understand operational issues.
  • Review and perform financial analysis, as necessary, for all new and renewal contracts, ensuring profit margins for each line of business meet or exceed senior management expectations.
  • Work together with Pricing and New Products teams to analyze and assist in pricing of new opportunities and lines of business.
  • Develop financial assumptions and construct complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting and business case analyses.
  • Manage and further develop seven-year financial planning model.
  • Evaluate acquisitions of aircraft and parts inventories to support business.
  • Prepare periodic variance analyses of forecasted/budgeted maintenance events versus actual maintenance events.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
  • Collaborate with, mentor, develop and support other analysts.

Educational Background & Work Experience

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in a financial analysis role.

Preferred

  • MBA or Masters in Business, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Accounting, Finance Analytics, Operations Research, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field or similar discipline preferred.
