Case Study

GlobeAir

Founded in 2008, GlobeAir is a private jet company and Europe´s market leader in the very light jet market segment, offering ad hoc charter flights at affordable fares. GlobeAir operates a fleet of 20 Citation Mustangs – the world´s largest – which are capable of landing at airports such as St. Tropez, Lugano and St. Moritz, typically inaccessible to traditional airlines and larger private jets. GlobeAir is CAMO and Part 145 certified.

Most GlobeAir missions are within western Europe – 60 to 90-minute flights. Business trips are typically to hubs including London and Geneva, while pleasure trips are often to vacation destinations such as the Cote d’Azur.

“We recently recommended Traxxall to another operator at Geneva Airport, where we do most of our maintenance. They have seen what Traxxall does for GlobeAir and were impressed. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also implemented Traxxall in the future!” concludes Nicola.

The Challenge

Mr. Nicola Potenza, GlobeAir’s Head of AOG Maintenance, is a thirty-year industry veteran who has been in his current role for the last seven years. Nicola is responsible for keeping his fleet airworthy and operating at an optimal level of efficiency.

The Implementation

“We implemented Traxxall about two years ago,” says Nicola. “Before that, we were using a competitor to manage our aircraft maintenance tracking, which presented some challenges. In my opinion, Traxxall is superior because it is more flexible and easier to use. For example, it is much easier to generate, modify and close work orders with Traxxall. My colleagues in the accounting department also appreciate it because Traxxall offers better value.”

The Benefits of Traxxall

“There are several benefits to using Traxxall. It is a flexible and responsive system that streamlines processes and makes the maintenance team’s work considerably easier. Also, based on our experience, Traxxall offers superior value. And, the inventory management module is also very useful. In our case, we have facilities in Austria and Italy. So, tightly managing the supply of parts across both locations is essential to the performance of our fleet.”
