Founded in 1958, QuikTrip is a privately-owned operator of more than 1,100 convenience stores across 10 states. Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, QuikTrip is an $14 billion-dollar company with more than 20,000 employees. It also gives back to the communities that it serves, donating five percent of net profits to charitable organizations.
The company’s flight department, QuikTrip Aviation, owns and operates three Embraer Praetors, two Bell 429s, and one Bell 407. Some of these aircraft were migrated from a competing system to Traxxall. The others were enrolled with Traxxall upon delivery from the factory.
Ethan Pruitt is QuikTrip Aviation’s Manager of Aircraft Maintenance. He has been in this role since April 2018 and has more than 18 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining QuikTrip, I held other aircraft maintenance management roles with companies including Omni Air Transport and Jet Linx. My family’s connection to QuikTrip is quite unique. Previously, the Aircraft Maintenance Manager was my father, Charlie. He held that position for 29 years. In many ways, I feel like I grew up at QuikTrip.
Traxxall is easy to use, the navigation is intuitive, the customer support is excellent, and it’s very accurate. I think that operators of larger fleets stand to benefit even more greatly from the customer support because Traxxall’s analysts are highly-responsive and have the knowledge to walk you through complex situations and offer meaningful help when you really need it. We enrolled three Praetor aircraft at the time of delivery, and the onboarding process was seamless. The pricing was exceptionally competitive, which made the decision even easier.

Typical Mission
As an organization, we are very good at flying efficient missions. For example, on a typical day, we might fly from Tulsa, to St. Louis, to Des Moines, to Kansas City and then back home. All along the way, our people are getting on and off the flight and we’re consistently operating close to our maximum capacity of eight passengers. For us, having our own flight department is a major competitive advantage.
The Benefits of Traxxall
Traxxall has contributed significantly to the overall efficiency of our flight operations. It is excellent for maintenance tracking, forecasting inventory requirements, and generating accurate budgets. Monthly reporting is a breeze with the customization options. With previous employers, I worked quite extensively with both competing systems. Traxxall’s customer support is light years beyond anything I’ve ever received before.
Shortly after the delivery of our aircraft, we experienced an AOG event – and the OEM was not having luck helping us. JSSI was able to support us during the event, really demonstrating to us just how interconnected their maintenance programs and maintenance tracking truly are.
There is a natural reluctance to change in the industry. But, people are starting to realize that there are better alternatives out there. And, once you get over the initial transition, you won’t look back. Based on my experience at QuikTrip and everything I did previously, I would not hesitate to recommend Traxxall to fellow aircraft owners and operators.
