RESULTS FROM REAL USE

Mercy Flight Western New York

Mercy Flight Western New York is an independent not-for-profit provider of emergency and non-emergency air and ground medical transport and supporting services. Established in 1981 and headquartered in Buffalo, NY, the Mercy Flight team ensures the rapid, safe and cost-effective delivery of expert response teams. Mercy Flight owns and operates a fleet of four Bell 429 medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) helicopters, flies more than 1,500 rescue/transport missions per year, maintains four bases, and is staffed 24/7 by a rotating crew of pilots and medical staff.

Amy Bice, Chief Inspector, joined the Mercy Flight team in 2020. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Amy joined the 1/104th Attack Helicopter Bn with the PA Army National Guard (ARNG) as a Crew Chief on AH-1, OH-58, UH-1 and UH-60 Helicopters. She also earned her airframe and powerplant (A&P) licenses while on duty.

After eight years, including four years of active service as a helicopter maintenance instructor, Amy left the PA ARNG and continued her aviation career in the corporate sector, working on Citation X, Gulfstream GIV, and Sikorsky S-76 aircraft. After a corporate merger, she continued her career working in nearly all aspects of the aviation maintenance industry with various companies, including time as an inspector at Agusta Westland Philadelphia Corp. in their completions center where she oversaw the R & D activities and completions of the Maryland State Police fleet of AW-139s, among many others.

I would absolutely recommend Traxxall to any aircraft operator. Traxxall is an extremely comprehensive and intuitive system that has brought maintenance tracking to the next level. The Traxxall team are aviation maintenance experts who really understand the day-to-day challenges of maintaining a fleet and are responsive to our needs.

Amy Bice, Chief Inspector

The Challenge

We have four Bell 429 helicopters: two received in 2018 and two received in 2023.

I have been in aviation maintenance for 30+ years in one form or another and have used several different maintenance tracking systems. In aviation, you need a system that moves at the same pace that you do and adapts to the constant changes that are inherent to our industry. Traxxall does just that. It is user-friendly and easily customizable in so many ways. I have yet to find something that it can’t do.

The Benefits of Traxxall

The customer service at Traxxall is second-to-none. Our analyst is experienced, dedicated, and very responsive. This is probably Traxxall’s greatest strength. Dealing with other maintenance tracking providers, it would sometimes take a few days to get a response to an e-mail or voicemail. We just can’t do business that way.
