With so many operators ceasing flight operations at this time, it’s important to know that the preservation of the airframe, avionics, APU and engines is not only mandated by the manufacturer but also critical to the long-term airworthiness of the entire aircraft.
The actions you take today will help prevent further cost when you return the aircraft to airworthiness.
We highly recommend exercising the aircraft and following official OEM preservation schedules. If your aircraft has been sitting for as little as a month, it may already be over the minimum requirement for preservation steps to take place.
For aircraft covered by JSSI, please contact your dedicated JSSI Technical Advisor or Client Relationship Manager for guidance on preservation requirements for your aircraft. Alternatively, please email [email protected].
If you have other aircraft in your fleet that are not covered by JSSI, we offer a range of additional Professional Services and would be happy to provide guidance on preservation requirements. For assistance with those aircraft, please contact [email protected].
