CONKLIN CO2 CALCULATOR
Estimate your carbon emissions, and what it would cost to offset these emissions, with the Conklin CO2 Calculator. The tool is free and easy‑to‑use; try it today!
Estimate your carbon emissions
How it works
- Select your aircraft.
- We automatically calculate estimated fuel burn per hour through trusted Conklin data.
- Enter your average trip length and annual flight hours.
- View your total estimated emissions and cost to offset (you can customize this cost to your project preference if you have a preferred carbon credit provider).
- Opportunity to opt in to offset these emissions through JSSI’s sustainability program (available to all Maintenance Program clients through our partnership with Avfuel).
The Jet A CO2 emissions coefficient (3.16 Kg CO2 per 1.0 Kg of Jet A) is documented in ICAO Annex 16 — Environmental Protection, Volume IV — Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). This became applicable on 1 January 2019. The US EPA aligned its CO2 emission standard with the ICAO standard early 2021.
The 100LL/AvGas CO2 emissions factor (3.05 Kg CO2 per 1 Kg of AvGas) is documented in the US Energy Information Administration table entitled “CO2 Emissions Coefficients” dated Sept 16, 2021. In turn this was based on the U.S. EPA study entitled “Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks” dated June 16, 2021.
