Enrolls Global 5000 BR710 Engines onto JSSI Program
EBACE 2012 – Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), the leading provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, has announced that Formula One racing icon and airline entrepreneur, Niki Lauda, has enrolled his newly delivered Bombardier Global 5000 onto the JSSI Platinum Engine and APU Hourly Cost Maintenance Programs.
A three-time Formula One World Champion and former Jaguar Formula One Racing Team manager, Mr. Lauda is also a dedicated aviator who has piloted and owned several business jets. He is also known throughout Europe for his airline, Lauda Air, formed in 1985, and flyNiki, a semi-lowcost airline and a subsidiary of Air Berlin that he started in 2003. As a passionate commercial pilot, Lauda occasionally acts as captain on his airline flights.
“I am on the move all the time and always looking for services that can help minimize my down time and keep me moving, so JSSI makes perfect sense to me,” stated Mr. Lauda. “JSSI provides us with a predictable maintenance budget, and the JSSI Technical Services Team acts as our advocate to make sure we get back in the air as quickly as possible whenever there is an engine or APU maintenance issue,” added Lauda.
JSSI [EBACE Stand # 939] has been providing turbine aircraft operators with predictable maintenance budgets through their engine, airframe and APU hourly cost maintenance programs for more than 23 years. JSSI’s Platinum Program for Mr. Lauda’s BR710 engines provides comprehensive coverage for scheduled engine maintenance, while delivering complete budget stability and peace of mind from any unexpected maintenance costs. In addition, the Platinum Program includes Supplemental Lift coverage. JSSI’s Supplemental Lift benefit addresses concerns regarding the availability of the limited rental engine pool for these BR710 engine models. In the event that a JSSI client experiences an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situation or has scheduled maintenance requiring a BR710 rental engine, JSSI will work with the client to minimize the impact of down time by covering certain aircraft charter costs if rental engines are not available.
As an additional layer of support for their Bombardier Global clients, like Niki Lauda, JSSI recently acquired two Rolls-Royce BR710A2-20 turbine engines to use as loaners whenever off-wing engine repairs or overhauls are required by their clients.
“Niki Lauda represents the spirit of the industry, and we are proud to be working with him to protect his new investment,” commented Louis C. Seno, Chairman and CEO of JSSI. “Mr. Lauda obviously appreciates a quality, innovative product like the Global 5000, so our Platinum coverage for the engines, along with our Supplemental Lift and rental engine benefits, will add a great deal of value to his ownership experience.”
EBACE 2012 – Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), the leading provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, and Avfuel’s flight planning company, Avplan Trip Support, have announced they have teamed up to offer clients additional resources to manage any unexpected maintenance issues while traveling around the world.
Through this unique alliance, Avplan [EBACE Stand # 456] customers will now have access to JSSI’s global team of experts. By simply contacting their Avplan agent, the Avplan customer facing a maintenance issue will be connected with the JSSI Technical Advisor in the geographic area where the aircraft is located. This special partnership is possible because of the expansive technical team that JSSI [EBACE Stand # 939] has deployed worldwide to support their own hourly cost maintenance program clients.
“We are excited to be teaming with Avplan Trip Support to provide their customers with the same peace of mind that the JSSI Technical Advisors bring to our JSSI clients, day-in and day-out,” commented JSSI Vice President of Technical Services Operations, George Kleros. “This is a significant benefit for Avplan customers. JSSI’s Technical Advisors are highly experienced with a broad variety of aircraft makes and models, so Avplan customers will have a great resource whenever they are in unfamiliar territory and experience a maintenance issue.”
Avplan’s international travel insight combined with JSSI’s worldwide team of maintenance professionals ensures that customers have access to the best quality service and know-how no matter where they fly. JSSI’s experienced Technical Advisors will serve as liaisons between the Avplan customer and local maintenance providers during the repair process.
“By working together in this capacity, Avplan and JSSI have removed a great deal of uncertainty from flying internationally,” said Avplan Operations Manager Phil Tyler. “Now our Avplan Trip Support clients gain access to another layer of resources for maintenance issues and can feel confident no matter where they fly.”
